Fatima Steiner

Fatima Steiner is a Managing Director in Carlyle’s Global Credit Compliance team and is based in New York. Prior to joining Carlyle, Ms. Steiner held roles as the Deputy Head of Global Markets Compliance and the Co-Head of Fixed Income Compliance at Deutsche Bank where she provided Compliance advisory and oversight for fixed income businesses including the bank’s Global Credit platform from 2015 to 2023. Prior to that, she was a structured products attorney within Oak Hill Advisors Legal & Compliance group documenting and executing US and Euro CLOs, CLO refinancings and restructurings, separate managed accounts and other fund structures. She was a securitization and structured credit desk lawyer in the Derivatives Product Group and the Securitized Products Group at Morgan Stanley from 1997-2008. Ms. Steiner received a BA from Sarah Lawrence College and a JD from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law and is a member of the New York bar.
